Swofford issued Hodge a one-game suspension for deliberately hitting Maryland's Steve Blake in the head during Sunday's game at Cole Field House in College Park, Md. Hodge's suspension will be in place for State's home game against Virginia this Wednesday.
Official reprimands were also issued to Clemson's Shyatt for his conduct in Saturday's game with Duke and Virginia's Fuller for his actions in Virginia's game against Maryland last Thursday.
"This suspension and these reprimands are a direct result of unacceptable behavior during last week's games," Swofford said. "While we all understand that emotions can be at a high level during this time of the season, the ACC cannot tolerate this kind of behavior."
Allen Faces Suspension
North Carolina wide receiver Bosley Allen has been suspended by UNC coach John Bunting after being charged with giving false information to a Durham police officer Saturday night.
Allen, a junior from Bradenton, Fla., was stopped for driving 72 mph in a 55-mph zone on U.S. 15-501, police reports stated.
He then told the police officer that his name was Dexter Reid and that he was from Norfolk, Va.
Reid, from Norfolk, is a sophomore free safety for the Tar Heels.
