Court pushes start date for Dorrance lawsuit to Nov. 1

The civil suit against North Carolina women's soccer coach Anson Dorrance will commence Nov. 1 at the U.S. District Court in Greensboro.

The trial originally was set to begin Oct. 4.

Former UNC goalkeeper Melissa Jennings has sued Dorrance for invasion of privacy, claiming he used his position to intimidate players into sharing details of their personal lives, including their sexual activity.

She also alleges that Dorrance reimbursed team members for alcohol they bought for her during her recruiting trip.

Former player Debbie Keller settled a lawsuit based on similar allegations March 23.
