The autopsy for Eve Carson is set to be released June 30 after all the investigators' interviews are complete. District Attorney Jim Woodall had said he wanted the autopsy sealed until investigators could verify the validity of witness reports coming forward, but now says all interviews will be complete by the end of the month. Woodall told The Daily Tar Heel last month that he sealed the documents in order to check up on accounts of eyewitnesses. "One of the ways you determine whether they have information or whether they're just saying they do is if they have the facts," he said. By the time interviews are complete, the reason he asked for the autopsy to be sealed "will have ceased to exist," he said. Superior Court Judge Allan Baddour is scheduled for another hearing June 27, when several documents related to the case, including search warrants, could be released.
