TO THE EDITOR:
Columnist Justin Crowder's voting is useless"" rhetoric (""Your O.C. votes won't make a real difference" Oct. 8) was directly contradicted by the DTH's front-page article (Palin pays a visit" Oct. 8).
The McCain campaign would not have sent its most important surrogate to campaign in North Carolina had it shared the belief that North Carolina did not learn its lesson after Bush's first two terms as president.
So readers, please ignore Mr. Crowder's cynicism and understand that your vote will make a difference. And speaking of voting and Sarah Palin, all voters should Google her name alongside the words Alaskan Independence Party" rape kits" and Troopergate"" if they have not done so already.
