DTH Picks of the Week for October 25

picks

The DTH Picks of the Week is back for another week of competition. Each week the SportSaturday staff football beat writers Sports editor and a celebrity will pick the winners of college football's most enticing action.

In the spirit of competition we also keep track of our correct and incorrect picks to see who is the most accurate college football predicter.

SportSaturday Editor Mike Ehrlich former Sports Editor David Ely and SportSaturday assistant editor Louie Horvath are tied for the lead after Louie made up a game on each last issue.  Current Sports Editor Rachel Ullrich had yet another lousy week and is now a whopping six games under .500 on the season. She is 10 games behind the leaders.

Carolina Athletic Association President Andrew Coonin turned in a solid 6-2 effort last week and the celebrities are two games behind the leaders.

Democrats and Republicans will square off in the upcoming presidential election and they'll do the same in SportSaturday. This week's celebrity is Young Democrats Co-President George Drometer. Next issue a leader from the UNC College Republicans will try to better Drometer's effort.

His picks will also continue the combined effort by the celebrities to out-pick the DTH staff.

This week of games is highlighted by four Top 25 showdowns including No. 1 Texas squaring off with an undefeated No. 7 Oklahoma St. squad in the game of the week. LSU and Georgia will battle in a huge game in the SEC and Ohio St. and Penn St. clash in a game that could decide the champion of the Big Ten. Texas Tech and Kansas should light up the scoreboard in the last top 25 matchup.

Elsewhere Florida" Florida St. and Georgia Tech will face off against unranked foes.
