Images not productive do not help abortion dialogue

TO THE EDITOR:

Today walking through the quad on my way to class I was met with a sign: WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES AHEAD.

How incredibly forgiving those words are to the disgusting display on abortion. Eighteen-foot-high billboards with mangled fetuses and accusing words abuse the UNC population. This is not OK.

Yes I am pro-choice but I was met by many a disgusted pro-lifer today as well. I respect the freedom of speech but today's exhibition is going a step too far.

This is in poor taste and is a definite infringement on my rights. Making me tromp past these offensive images and flippant accusations is not appropriate or tasteful. These pro-lifers have taken away my choice to participate in this spectacle. I am surprised that a university built on the premise of higher learning and educated empowerment would approve this demonstration. Frankly I'm disgusted.
