Going to pizza and a movie with Quan

Sophomore linebacker Quan Sturdivant is starting to come into his own on the football field notching double digit tackle totals in three of the last four games as well as reeling in a key game-changing interception that was returned for a touchdown against Notre Dame.

He is second on the Tar Heels tackles for the season — his 69 puts him one behind fellow line-backer Mark Paschal.

But when SportSaturday Assistant Editor Louie Horvath met up with Sturdivant this week it wasn't to discuss tackling.

Instead date locations Young Jeezy and Pizza Hut dominated their exchange.



Louie Horvath: If you were going to go out on a date where would you and your date go?

Quan Sturdivant: I would probably go to the movies.

LH: Which movie would you see?

QS: Right now? … Probably Saw V.

LH: Who is the best dressed player on the team?

QS: I'd say probably Shaun Draughn.

LH: Who is the best dancer on the team — and who thinks they are the best when they really aren't?

QS: Probably Johnny White. Yeah Johnny White is the best dancer and the guy who thinks he's the best when he isn't is Greg Little.

LH: What is your favorite nonfootball-related hobby?

QS:  Playing basketball yeah basketball.

LH: What kind of music do you like to listen to?

QS: Rap.

LH: And before a game?

QS: Mainly T.I. Young Jeezy guys like that.

LH: What is your favorite type of hit to get on someone? Open field?

QS: Probably on the receiver when he's cutting across the middle. He'll be looking at the defensive back so he won't be expecting it and I will just cut in and get him.

LH: Who has the worst hygiene on the team?

QS: (laughs) Awww I can't call nobody out like that.

LH: What is your favorite type of food?

QS: Pizza.

LH: Where is your favorite pizza spot? Do you order it frequently?

QS: I ordered it a lot from Pizza Hut when I first got here but now I got a car so I just drive to the Pizza Hut and pick it up myself.
