TO THE EDITOR:
The Daily Tar Heel’s headline “Courtland Smith leaves legacy of leadership” (Aug. 26) is inappropriate as this underage alcohol abuser driving 95 miles per hour drunk on a major highway that could have resulted in innocent people maimed or killed.
This insane behavior from a so-called “student leader” needs to sound an alarm that alcohol abuse kills and those that condone this behavior such as so-called prestigious fraternities should be eliminated, hopefully before there is another death.
