UNC is trying its hardest to make sure Virginia guard Sylven Landesberg does not get going, but it doesn't seem to be doing much good. Landesberg is 8-11 so far, and has scored on an assortment of layups and jumpshots. If he continues to shoot at a 73 percent clip, it will be extremely difficult for UNC to win.
On the other end, North Carolina is struggling mightily to convert on their free throws. They are 5-12, and Ed Davis has missed the last four for the Tar Heels.
Uva. big men Jerome Meyinsse and Will Sherrill both have two fouls.
The Cavaliers entered the game as the most secure team with the ball in the ACC, but they have not lived up to that billing. The 'Hoos have turned the ball over nine times compared to seven for the Tar Heels.
In unrelated news, the Tar Heels announced that Tyler Hansbrough and Donald Williams will be having their jerseys in the rafters soon. Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington will have their jerseys honored as well, but not in the near future.
