Someone stole a purse from a table at East End Oyster & Martini Bar at 201 E. Franklin St. at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.The purse and its contents, which included money, a cell phone and a driver’s license, were  worth $151, reports state.

A suspicious person banged on the window of a closed McDonald’s at 409 W. Franklin St. at 2:41 a.m.  Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone broke into a gray  2001 Volkswagen Passat GLS between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a GPS worth $200. Damage to the car was estimated at $200, reports state.

Someone entered a residence between 4:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. Tuesday at 1521 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole an iPod Nano worth $150, a necklace worth $140 and three pairs of earrings collectively worth $480, reports state.

Someone tried to break into Willow Brook Apartments at 5639 Old Chapel Hill Road at 5:36 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
