Student Congress distributes most of subsequent budget

Student Congress voted to distribute all but $9.71 of its subsequent appropriations budget, the money it has to give out after the annual budget process that occurs in February for the following year, in its full body meeting on Monday night.

It is unlikely that Congress will pass additional subsequent appropriations this year, said Jennings Carpenter, the student body treasurer.

Members of the ethics committee also announced that the group is investigating a complaint filed against representative Trent Kool.

Six members of the finance committee of Student Congress have filed an ethics complaint against Kool because they said he did not attend required meetings or provide notification. The group is waiting to give Kool a chance to respond before investigating further.
