Police log for April 14, 2010

Three cars were broken into and several items were stolen between 10 p.m. Sunday and 8:46 a.m Monday on Pinegate Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Someone stole $400 in radio equipment and a $400 speaker box from a Honda Accord, reports state. A Volkswagen Jetta was damaged and $250 in radio equipment was taken, reports state. A $200 car stereo also was taken from a Honda Civic, reports state.

Someone entered a home at 606 Village Crossing Drive, ate food, used a bathroom and slept in a bed between 8 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone stole $4 in chicken tenders by concealing them in a backpack between 3:35 p.m. and 3:39 p.m. Monday at the Food Lion at 1720 Fordham Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The chicken was later recovered, reports state.
