—Someone broke into a house by entering an unlocked window between noon and 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at 1820 Legion Road Ext., according to Chapel Hill police reports.The person stole a Sony laptop worth $780, a wallet worth $5 and an MP3 player worth $30, reports state.

—Someone broke into a house between 10:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at 202 Jay St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.The person stole a Macbook laptop worth $1,200 and caused $100 worth of damage to both the front and bedroom doors, reports state.

—Someone pulled out a knife and threatened his or her roommates between midnight Aug. 19 and midnight Aug. 24 at 1411 Legacy Terrace, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone attempted to enter an empty apartment between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1816 Legion Road Ext., according to Chapel Hill police reports.The person caused $20 worth of damage to four window screens, reports state.
