Police log for September 13, 2010

—A 45-year-old Chapel Hill man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a female and failure to comply at 12:38 a.m. Saturday at 150 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Justin Eric Gattis was taken to Orange County Jail and held without bail, reports state.

—Someone stole a purse from Vespa Ristorante at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The purse contained a identification cards, credit and debit cards, a house key and a $75 cell phone, reports state. The purse itself was worth $50.

—Someone broke into a home on Whitaker Street between 2:31 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Two laptop computers worth $2,200 combined and a computer charger worth $40 were reported stolen, reports state.

—Someone stole a patio table between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9:20 a.m. Saturday from a Pittsboro Street home, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The patio table was worth $300, reports state.

—A 2000 Mazda MVP was reported taken from a home on Ephesus Church Road sometime between 2:50 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The car was worth $2,500, and a cell phone inside the car was worth $100, reports state.

—Someone stole a wallet out of a backpack between 4:15 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of South Columbia and Rosemary Streets, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The wallet contained credit and debit cards, identification cards and $2 in cash. The wallet itself was worth $20, reports state.
