Police log for September 27, 2010

—Someone broke into a house between 10:55 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Friday at 318 Burris Place, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Stolen items include a Gateway laptop worth $2,000, a $50 Bible and more than $3,050 in jewelry.
Damage to the home was valued at $200, reports state.

—A microwave fire was reported at 1:08 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill High School, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone broke a driver’s mirror from the car door between 6 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday on North Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Damage to the 2007 Honda Civic was valued at $300, reports state.

—Someone stole a CD player from a locked gray 1995 Honda Civic between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday at 106 Pinegate Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The CD player was worth $100, reports state.

—Someone stole a silver 1995 Ford Taurus between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at 602 Gomains Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The car was worth $2,200, reports state.

—Someone reported a dog barking loudly outside at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at 139 Forsyth Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone stole $1,000 worth of computer hardware and software at 2:20 p.m. Thursday at Culbreth Middle School, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

All items were recovered, reports state.
