After battling North Carolina to a 24-24 tie at the end of the third quarter, Georgia Tech needed just two field goals in the fourth quarter to get its first ACC win of the season.

Scott Blair had two field goals for the Yellow Jackets and the Tar Heels couldn’t possess the ball long enough to get any offense going in the second half.

After a four-yard touchdown run by Johnny White with 10:55 remaining in the third, UNC did not sniff the red zone for the remainder of the game.

The Yellow Jackets had 450 yards of total offense with quarterback Joshua Nesbitt getting 100 yards on the ground.

North Carolina (0-2) next plays at Rutgers on Sept. 25. Visit dailytarheel.com on Monday for a full stories on today’s game.
