North Carolina junior cornerback Charles Brown will miss the rest of the season, the University said in a press release on Wednesday.
Brown had sat out the previous six games while his eligibility was being determined. He was slated to start at one of the cornerback positions before the investigation began this summer.
Kendric Burney, who sat out a NCAA-mandated six games, will not play against Miami. While his NCAA suspension is up, Burney’s issue is still unresolved with the academic portion of the investigation.
UNC football spokesman Kevin Best said Tuesday that the senior cornerback will not add another class this late in the semester, despite reports that he would.
