MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — A Johnny White 76-yard touchdown run gave North Carolina a 10-3 against Miami early in the second quarter.
It’d be the last time the Tar Heels saw the end zone.
Miami went on a 30-0 run after that, led by quarterback Jacory Harris to stomp UNC 33-10 at Sun Life Stadium.
Harris finished with 217 passing yards and three touchdowns while Damien Berry chewed up 109 yards on the ground.
UNC quarterback T.J. Yates completed his first six passes, but like the rest of the UNC football team, he fizzled midway through the second quarter. He went 12-for-21 for 140 yards and two interceptions. Yates entered the game with only one pick the entire 2010 campaign.
