Police log for October 20, 2010

  • A 37-year-old Durham man turned himself in at the Chapel Hill Police Department for one count of a second degree sex offense at 3:09 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Rodney McKinley Trivett II was taken to the Orange County jail in lieu of $10,000 secured bond, reports state.
  • A 50-year-old Durham man was charged with misdemeanor larceny at 5:23 p.m. Monday at 1801 N. Fordham Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Richard Carlton Neverson was arrested for attempting to steal five boxes of saw replacement blades from the Lowe’s Home Improvement.
    Neverson was released on a written promise to appear in court, reports state.
  • Medication was stolen from a residence between 8 p.m. Oct. 10 and 8 p.m. Saturday at 218 Bluefield Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The person stole $20 in medication, reports state.
  • Someone kicked in the back door of a residence, entered and stole $1,300 worth of digital equipment between 10:30 a.m. and 1:24 p.m. Monday at 708 Oak Tree Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
