Police Log for October 26, 2010

  • A domestic disturbance was reported at 6:33 p.m. Sunday at 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone reported a disturbance at 12:07 a.m. Sunday at the Wendy’s on 100 Scarlett Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The disturbance involved a black 2004 GMC Yukon, reports state.
  • An unknown subject took items from a porch between 8:30 a.m. and noon Wednesday at 78 White Oak Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a backpack blower valued at $400 and a chain saw valued at $300, reports state.
  • Someone pried on a door with a tool between 5 p.m. Saturday and 3:47 p.m. Sunday at 300 S. Elliott Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person caused $350 worth of damage to the structure, reports state.
  • Someone took a GPS unit from an unlocked car between midnight Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday at 300 Glandon Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The GPS, taken from a silver 2005 Lexus Es330, was valued at $120, reports state.
  • Someone entered a residence through an unlocked garage door between 9:51 a.m. and 6:44 p.m. Sunday at 914 Coker Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke the middle driver’s side window of a van between 4:20 and 5:15 p.m. Friday at 302 N.C. 54, according to Carrboro police reports. The person removed a purse from the car that contained identification, credit cards, $150 in cash and other items, reports state.
  • Someone stole a metal toy Corvette from a yard between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Friday at 104 Hillview St., according to Carrboro police reports. The owner of the toy later found the hood to the toy in the creek near his house, reports state.
