Lee Bennett Pope III, 37, was charged Monday with common law robbery of the BB&T bank at 143 E. Rosemary St. on Oct. 5, according to The (Raleigh) News & Observer.

Pope, dubbed the “Repeat Robber” by authorities, was arrested in Durham Oct. 25 by Raleigh and Durham police on an outstanding violation warrant, according to a Raleigh Police Department news release.

Pope has also been charged with five counts of common law robbery, the news release states.

According to the Raleigh police, Pope remains in custody at the Wake County jail.

He is being held under a 1,060,000 bond, a jail spokesman said.
