Police log for January 18, 2011

  • Someone entered a white 2002 Chevy Tahoe and stole items from the vehicle between 7:30 p.m. and 10:28 p.m. Saturday at 120 Banks Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Stolen items included a Pioneer radio worth $400, a Guess wallet worth $40 and four debit and credit cards, reports state.
  • Someone entered a home and stole items between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at 710 N. Columbia St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Stolen items included Macbook worth $1,200, a The North Face backpack worth $50, a Casio digital recorder worth $100 and a linen-covered writing journal worth $100, reports state.
  • Someone stole a football jersey from Tarheel Book Store at 1 p.m. Thursday from 119 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The jersey was worth $60, reports state
  • Someone was yelling and cursing inside Coldstone Creamery at 8:42 p.m. Thursday at 131 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke into the Carrboro Community Health Center between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6:25 a.m. Thursday at 301 Lloyd St., according to Carrboro police reports.
    The suspect entered the building by breaking a window and stole a large amount of cash, reports state.
  • A male wearing a green jacket hit a Chapel Hill Transit bus with a two-by-four foot wooden table leg at 2:09 p.m. Thursday at 101 E. Weaver St., according to Carrboro Police reports.
    The incident caused no damage to the bus, reports state.
