Police log for January 27, 2011

  • A student was found in possession of a green, leafy substance at 2:15 p.m. Monday at Culbreth Middle School, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone shattered the window of Something Tropical and broke into the business between 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday at 342 W. Rosemary St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person caused $150 in damage to the window, reports state.
  • A Panera Bread employee took money from the business between 9 a.m. Dec. 1 and 9 a.m. Saturday at 213 W. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The incident was reported at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday. The person stole $1,400 in cash, reports state.
  • Some barking dogs were bothering neighbors at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday at 110 S. Roberson St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
