The Daily Tar Heel

The University has canceled all classes after 5 p.m. today and before 11 a.m. Tuesday due to forecasts of adverse weather.

Offices will continue to open on a regular schedule under Condition 2 of the University’s adverse weather response operations.

Under usual circumstances, the University operates under Condition 1, which calls for all classes and offices to be open. Condition 3 results in the closing of University offices and canceling of all classes.

Arrangements to make up missed classes will be at the discretion of the course instructor.

The University reminded employees in the announcement that emergency employees are asked to report to work, while other employees are responsible for their regular duties, making up any missed work time, and making decisions about work based on their personal safety.

Reports of state government closings will not apply to University employees.
