Police log for February 7, 2011

  • Someone keyed a vehicle and slashed its tires between 11 p.m. Friday and 3:02 a.m. Saturday at 201 S. Estes Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the black 1995 Volkswagen Jetta was valued at $1,400, reports state.
  • Someone refused to pay for a drink at 10:23 p.m. Friday at the Wilco at 1213 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The soda was valued at $1.50, reports state.
  • Someone stole a pocketbook between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday at 153 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The pocketbook was valued at $50, reports state.
  • Someone reported suspicious conduct when several subjects claimed to be police officers at 8:51 p.m. Friday at 203 Schultz St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone was assaulted by two suspects between 7 p.m. and 8:11 p.m. Friday at 403 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone entered a vehicle and stole a GPS unit between 5:01 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Friday at 407 Lindsey St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The Garmin GPS was valued at $125, reports state.
  • Someone broke the window of a vehicle and took a radio from inside the car at 11:38 a.m. Friday on Bolinwood Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the window of the white 1999 Mitsubishi Galant was valued at $150, and the stolen radio was valued at $150, reports state.
