Police log for March 23, 2011

  • A loose dog killed a neighboring chicken at 8 a.m. Monday at 807 Churchill Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The chicken was valued at $10, reports state.
  • Someone vandalized construction barricades at 3:43 a.m. Tuesday at Church Street and Rosemary Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person caused $100 in damage to the barricade, reports state.
  • Residents were playing instruments and singing loudly at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday at 205 Sunrise Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • A suspicious person was hiding in the bushes around 10:15 p.m. Monday at 65 Maxwell Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone cut off a catalytic converter from a vehicle between 4 p.m. March 11 and 4 p.m. Friday at 300 S. Elliott Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The incident was reported at 11:14 a.m. Monday. The vehicle part was valued at $250, reports state.
