Police log for June 30, 2011

  • Someone threw a rock through a window at 4:10 p.m. Monday at 8 Bolin Heights, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the window was valued at $25, reports state.
  • Someone took items from the trunk of a car between 7 p.m. Sunday and 8:54 p.m. Monday at 2000 Fireside Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Items stolen include a video camera worth $5,000, a digital camera worth $4,000, two hard drives worth $300, an aluminum camera case worth $300 and headphones worth $90, reports state.
  • Someone entered a victim’s vehicle and stole property between 10 p.m. Saturday and 3:14 p.m. Monday at 5639 Old Durham Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Items stolen included $400 in cash and a subwoofer worth $600, reports state.
  • Someone got into an altercation and took a victim’s hat at 2:58 a.m. Saturday at 138 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The hat was valued at $42, reports state.
  • Suspects knocked loudly on a door and then ran away at 12:57 a.m. Saturday at 730 Pritchard Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Suspects concealed items and took them from a business at 6:04 p.m. Friday at 106 Ephesus Church Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The two stolen sodas suspects took were valued at $3, reports state.
  • Someone spray painted a stencil of a squirrel on a trash can between 6 p.m. June 23 and 11:27 a.m. Friday at 601 Brookgreen Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the trash can was valued at $20, reports state.
