Carrboro residents might have a new cafe to hang out in.
The cafe would be located next to Armadillo Grill on Main Streeet. The board approved to loan the builders $45,000 with a 3 percent interest rate over a 5-year period.
Pate and Glass can access the town funds after they have spent $50,000 of their own money on the project.
They must also secure $45,000 in loans from another source.

-The board declared Monday, August 29 the Stanley B. Vickers Diversity Appreciation Day in Carrboro and voted to for the town to sponsor a celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- The board voted to have a link on its website to Orange County information about the quarter-cent sales tax debate.
