UNC trails Miami 27-10 at half

Quarterback Jacory Harris torching Tar Heels' secondary

North Carolina entered Saturday’s contest against Miami with a 42-3 advantage in the first quarter. Miami bucked that trend, taking a 17-0 lead following the first.

The Hurricanes tacked on 10 more points in the second to take a 27-10 lead into halftime.

Miami quarterback Jacory Harris has thrown for 233 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Harris and the Hurricanes were in control for nearly the entire first half.

Following a touchdown on the opening drive, the Hurricanes forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, which resulted in another touchdown.

North Carolina scored on a Bryn Renner toss to Dwight Jones with eight seconds remaining in the half.

Giovani Bernard carried the Tar Heels on the final drive and has 68 yards.
