Police log for Nov. 7, 2011

Someone was arrested for assault at about 5:01 a.m. Friday at 211 Melville Loop, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone stole a cellphone and keys from a table between 11:15 a.m. and 11:18 a.m. Thursday at 81 S. Elliot Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The cellphone was valued at $125 and the keys at $500, according to reports.

There was a suspicious person at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday at River Birch Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone stole a motorcycle from a parking lot at about 7:53 a.m. Thursday at 5639 Old Chapel Hill Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The motorcycle was valued at $3,500, according to reports.

Someone attempted to break into a car between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Thursday at 100 Pleasant Drive, according to Carrboro police reports. The lock had been pushed inside of the door, but entry was not made into the vehicle, according to reports. Police attempted to locate fingerprints left on the vehicle, but were unable to locate any, according to reports.

Someone stole items from a store between 2:55 a.m. and 2:59 a.m. Thursday at 500 Jones Ferry Road, according Carrboro police reports.

Someone damaged property between 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. Thursday at 810 Old Fayetteville Road, according to Carrboro police reports.
The person broke a glass door panel, reports stated.

Someone reported a large white dog running at large at 1:23 p.m. Thursday at 100 Carol St., according to Carrboro police reports.
