Carrboro has been named a finalist for the Oprah Winfrey Network and BBC Worldwide Productions’ new reality show Lovetown, USA, and will hold a town meeting next Tuesday about the show.
The producers of Lovetown will meet with residents December 13, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carrboro Town Hall.
The show will feature professional matchmakers putting together couples and will film over a 30 day period in the chosen town.
The networks’ announcement than Carrboro is a finalist urges residents to “apply to find the love of your life in your own back yard.”
Applicants must send their name, hometown, contact information and photos of themselves and their town, as well as a brief story about why they and their town are ready for love.
