Dr. Ronald Falk, director of the UNC Kidney Center and chief of the division of nephrology and hypertension, has begun his tenure as president of the American Society of Nephrology.
The society is the world’s largest professional society devoted to the study of diseases that affect kidneys.
Falk has practiced medicine at UNC for more than 30 years and is recognized as an expert on kidney disease and vasculitis.
