Carolina Creates has recently received a $50,000 endowment from an anonymous donor.
Carolina Creates acts as a platform for student artists, musicians and writers to display their work at UNC. It was created as an offshoot of Chancellor Holden Thorp’s Innovate@Carolina campaign.
The endowment will generate about $2,500 each year, which will be used to develop and maintain the group’s website and expand its work on campus, said the group’s President Hudson Vincent.
The website will be used as a place for students to post ideas for campus improvement, publicize campus events and to find classes, organizations and events that match their interests.
