A man accused of attempting to kidnap a woman in downtown Chapel Hill two years ago pleaded guilty Feb. 21 to all charges associated with the assault.

Theodore James Walker was charged with attempting to abduct a jogger near East Rosemary and North Columbia streets in May 2010.

He fled after two brothers intervened, a Chapel Hill police press release from 2010 stated.
While fleeing, Walker hit one of the brothers, Joey Shelton, with his car.

According to court documents, Walker pleaded guilty to assault on a female and second-degree kidnapping charges for the assault on the jogger. He also pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury for hitting Shelton.
