The Daily Tar Heel

An Orange County home burned down early Monday.

The home is located in a rural area outside of Chapel Hill at 1116 Old Sawmill Road. Two adults, who are now displaced, reported the fire sometime before dawn.

Chief J. Phillip Nasseri of White Cross Fire Department said the structure of the home was probably 75 percent damaged.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Nasseri said it did not appear suspicious.

White Cross was assisted by Orange Grove, Carrboro and New Hope Fire Departments.
