Chapel Hill residents were displaced Tuesday evening after a structure fire at 219 Stagecoach Road caused $5,000 worth of damage to their home.

Chapel Hill firefighters found smoke coming from a crawl space in the two-story wood-framed house and extinguished the fire in six minutes, according to a press release sent Wednesday afternoon.

The fire marshal determined the fire was accidental, but has not released the cause the fire.

There were no injuries to the residents of the home or the firefighters. The residents were displaced after Duke Energy removed their meter box.

In the press release, Fire Department Spokeswoman Lisa Edwards said residents should keep anything that can burn at least three feet away from heating equipment to avoid fires.
