There is no risk of asbestos in Ruffin dorms according to University officials.

An outside contractor was installing new flooring in the 94 year old residence hall, causing the department of environment, health and safety to put up signs stating there was an asbestos danger in an abundance of caution, officials said.

Floor tiles were then tested for the hazardous substance, all of which coming back negative.
