The Daily Tar Heel is known for being a legacy newspaper that tells the stories of the campus and the community. But there are so many stories within the newsroom that never make it to the public. So we’re putting faces to bylines, bringing the people into our world at 151 E. Rosemary St.

So there are evidently a lot of September babies at the DTH. In the last two weeks, it was Ryan’s and Jose’s birthday.
Now, it’s my turn.
Wednesday is my 21st birthday, and I am both very excited and very freaked out. Don’t get me wrong; I am ready for the perks of my birthday, but I also am conflicted about this monumental date.
I feel old. I am not mentally prepared for being an “adult” and graduating.
So, instead of working on becoming prepared for my future this weekend, I watched a "Lord of the Rings" marathon and made this playlist.
My playlist represents both the excitement and the nostalgia that are coming along with my birthday with a mix of celebratory throwbacks, genres and today’s hits.
