Police log for April 5, 2017

• Someone committed identity theft on the 600 block of Coolidge Street at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person used someone’s social security number to sell items on Amazon.com, reports state.

• Someone broke and entered a residence on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Drive at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person kicked in the exterior door to the garage, opened an interior door to the house and stole jewelry and a car, worth a total of $37,000, reports state.
