Pedestrian killed after collision with vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

Update, Jan. 19, 5:07 p.m.: The pedestrian has been identified as Stephen Daniel Taylor, 56, of Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill police are still investigating.


A pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene Tuesday night after a collision with a vehicle off of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. around Southbound Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Westminster Drive.
