On the anniversary of the 2017 Women's March, North Carolina communities are planning to come together again to promote women's rights and other civil rights.
Last year, over 500,000 marchers flooded Washington D.C. the day after President Donald Trump's inauguration. About 17,000 filled the streets in Raleigh, N.C.
There were 673 marches around the world, according to Women's March organizers. The continental United States hosted 466 marches. Organizers estimated almost 5 million people participated.
