Adverse weather conditions brought from Hurricane Michael have led to school cancellations in the Triangle area.

Orange, Durham and Johnston county schools and Carrboro-Chapel Hill City Schools announced on Wednesday afternoon that school would be closed on Thursday due to heavy rain, high winds and flooding from the storm. According to a report from The Herald-Sun, a Durham school official cited a “probability of travel conditions becoming unsafe during the school day.”

All Durham Tech campuses will be closed on Oct. 11.

This is a developing story. Check back here for more updates regarding cancellations.
