Two female UNC students reported they were touched inappropriately by a male student on Tuesday in the Hanes Art Center, according to an Alert Carolina email sent Friday.
The email said the suspect was the same in both cases and is known to the female students. The University received the students' reports Thursday, the email said.
The University received Clery reports from both female students, the email said. The Clery Act is a law that requires universities to disclose information such as campus crime policy and statistics.
The Alert Carolina email included safety tips, including "You have the right to set limits on personal behavior" and "Respect personal spaces and boundaries."
The email also included links with information on how to report inappropriate behavior and access campus safety tips.
