Redshirt sophomore guard Anthony Harris will be unavailable for the remainder of the 2021-22 season, according to a statement from the UNC men's basketball team Friday afternoon.

Harris missed the team's last two games against Georgia Tech and Miami, where he was listed as unavailable on both occasions. Though no reason was given by the team for his absense, Harris will continue to participate in team practices and activities.

Harris was becoming an important rotation player on head coach Hubert Davis's squad, averaging 2.3 points in 11.8 minutes per game and contributing strongly on the defensive end.

“Anthony has worked hard to become a valuable contributor to our team,” Davis said in a press release. “We are disappointed for Anthony and our team, but he will continue to contribute and we know he will work hard so he can play for us again next season.”
