Big Boi tickets sell quickly

If it’s Big Boi tickets you covet, you’re not alone.

In less than a day, half of the student tickets to the Carolina Union Activities Board’s first big performance of the semester were sold at the Memorial Hall box office and online.

903 tickets have been sold as of Thursday morning, leaving about 530 tickets left still six days before tickets for the general public go on sale.

By 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, 730 of the 1434 seats had been purchased. CUAB president Tyler Mills said he expects even more were sold from that time until Canvas reached him for an interview this evening.

Big Boi, one half of the popular hip-hop duo Outkast, will be playing at Memorial Hall on Jan. 26. Tickets are still on sale for students at $10. Any general public tickets left will go on sale on Jan. 19 for $20.
