Happy Thursday, everyone!
That intro has an example of a properly-used comma in it — something that we, as journalists and adherents to AP style, should know something about. Today we're publishing two viewpoints arguing for and against the Oxford comma. As a journalist, I try not to take a stance on what we publish, so I won't. But the rest of this newsletter should let you know how I feel on this matter: the correct way.
QUICK HITS
- Through a boycott, a sit-in and multiple protests, demonstrators at Silent Sam have been threatened.

- Speaking of massive impacts, UNC alums in the NFL have had a pretty good year so far. Here's what to expect from them in Week 4.
UNIVERSIDAD
- Que Rico, UNC's only Latin dance team, has a busy couple of weeks ahead: they'll perform at NCCU, UNC and Old Dominion University in the next month and a half.
- Here's what UNC students think about the NFL protest.
