DTH at a Glance: Late Registration

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!

As a rising junior, I thought registration would be easy. I had an early registration time for the first time ever and I was so confident I decide to just do it in class.

I was dead wrong.

As soon as a pressed GO, three out of the five classes I wanted were unavailable. Those three classes were the ones actually for my major.

I went into a full-fledged panic and quickly tried to find anything that would help me actually finish my degree. Everything was filling up, but eventually I got a schedule that would get me to graduation.

Hopefully first-years do not feel my woes, as their first registration is tomorrow. Good Luck.

The Rundown

  • A new development is coming to Chapel Hill, and for once it's not another pizza place. A new 80-unit building is Chapel Hill's next step in solving the affordable housing problem.
  • Paying a traffic ticket can be more than just an inconvenience for some people. The ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the N.C. DMV over revoking licenses.

Tunesday

Need some songs to help you power through the registration period? Need a sad song to commiserate not getting the class of your dreams? This week's playlist has both. And if you're not going through this terrible time, still take a listen and power through whatever you got going on.

Things to Do

  • July 10 - Trivia Night - Looking for a more generalized form of trivia that is less full of death and odd medical miracles? Don't worry, we gotcha. (Bottle Rev Chapel Hill)
  • July 10 - Karaoke Night - If trivia doesn't get you enough attention, karaoke is sure to give you a perfect opportunity to bask in the limelight. (2nd Wind)
