It was close, but in the end, Chay Shegog and Italee Lucas proved too much for Maryland.
UNC started strong and finished even better - as the Tar Heels took down the Terps, 75-64.
At the half, the teams were tied at 33, but Lucas caught fire and led North Carolina with 12 points after the break. Shegog closed out a strong performance with eight points in the second half.
The Tar Heels were able to rebound after two dissapointing losses and now find themselves with a record of 14-3.
