Six Tar Heels receive All-ACC honors

The All-ACC teams for the 2014-15 football season were announced by The Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association on Monday, and six North Carolina football players received honors.

Junior quarterback Marquise Williams was the leading vote-getter for the Tar Heels — receiving 89 votes to earn him a second-team selection. Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston led the way at the quarterback position — tallying 142 votes to give him First Team Offense honors.

UNC hadn't placed a quarterback on the first- or second-team All-ACC since 1996.

Sophomore wide receiver Ryan Switzer and junior offensive guard Landon Turner received 54 and 42 votes, respectively, en route to obtaining Third Team Offense honors.

Sophomore wide receiver Mack Hollins was an honorable mention on offense, and senior defensive tackle Ethan Farmer and sophomore cornerback Brian Walker were honorable mentions on defense.

UNC didn't place a single player on any of the All-ACC defensive teams.
