UNC rowing unable to make waves in conference championship

This weekend, the North Carolina rowing team partook in the expanded ACC Rowing Championship. UNC took eighth place out of the eight competitors, with Virginia winning for the fifth consecutive year and seizing its 14th championship in the 15 years of the event.


UNC baseball splits doubleheader against Hurricanes

The North Carolina baseball team entered Thursday’s opening game at Miami in need of at least one win against the Hurricanes in the final series of the regular season, and it finally got it in an 11-2 victory — 29 hours, 25 innings and a 6-5 loss later.

UNC baseball beats Wake Forest, 9-0

The No. 29 North Carolina baseball team has had its fair share of errors and botched situational plays this season, but Friday night it was Wake Forest who gave the Tar Heels some help in a 9-0 win that brought UNC (20-14, 8-8 ACC) back to .500 in ACC play. In the fourth inning, after Tom Zengel singled and Landon Lassiter walked, left fielder Parks Jordan dropped down a well-placed bunt that trickled down the third-base line.
